Drinking water is essential for every living beings and clean and safe drinking water is mandatory to remain healthy in every aspect. Knowing the importance of drinking water and sanitation, NDS implemented the Drinking water and Sanitation project since its establishment which is another major project of this organization. Under the drinking water and sanitation, NDS mainly focuses on providing normal tube well and tube well with motor tank for the access of pure drinking water in the different remote villages of Nepal.  NDS implemented the Drinking Water and Sanitation project in close coordination with the local committee, vendors by taking a complete documentation process and proper approval from the concern local authorities from the concern villages.   

The objective of the Drinking Water and Sanitation project undertaken by the Nepal Development Society (NDS) is to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water, thereby improving the health and well-being of communities in remote villages of Nepal. Specifically, the project aims to:

1. Enhance Public Health: By providing access to clean and safe drinking water, the project aims to reduce water-borne diseases and promote overall health.

2. Improve Water Accessibility: The installation of normal tube wells and tube wells with motor tanks ensures that even remote villages have reliable access to pure drinking water.

3. Promote Sanitation and Hygiene: Alongside providing clean water, the project emphasizes the importance of sanitation and hygiene, which are critical for preventing illness and maintaining a healthy living environment.
