Nepal Development Society (NDS) has successfully completed the installation of a deep bore with motor tank at the Nepal Police Disaster Management Division office located in Samakhushi, Kathmandu, on September 8, 2024. This project addresses the critical water scarcity faced by the police personnel stationed at the division for their daily needs. As a vital part of the emergency services in Nepal, the police division required a sustainable water source to ensure smooth operations, especially during disaster response efforts.The installation of the deep boring motor tank at the division premises has greatly improved the daily operations of the 350-500 police personnel. By providing a sustainable water source, the project has addressed water scarcity, enhancing disaster preparedness and operational efficiency. This contribution has not only reduced stress but also ensured better working conditions, allowing the police to focus on their critical duties without interruption. The support demonstrates a lasting commitment to the welfare of those on the frontlines of disaster management responding to emergencies and protecting the public. NDS feels privileged to have supported them. The Nepal Police Disaster Management Division has expressed deep gratitude towards NDS for this generous assistance, acknowledging the society’s continued commitment to community welfare.A formal project handover ceremony was held in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ms. Tara Devi Thapa, along with other police officials and staff from NDS. During the event, the Nepal Police Division presented an appreciation certificate to NDS, recognizing the valuable support of NDS in this essential project. The NDS-Nepal Police partnership serves as a reminder of the value of teamwork in tackling the difficulties important institutions in disaster management face.
